Joseph specializes in advanced paint correction, ceramic coating installation, and specialty vehicle detailing, working on everything from daily drivers and luxury vehicles to complex restoration projects and challenging interior restoration projects.
Through years of real world shop experience, industry competitions, and continued training, Joseph has built a reputation for solving detailing problems that many shops are not equipped to handle. His work includes paint correction, ceramic coatings, interior restoration, odor removal, and advanced detailing for specialty vehicles, serving customers throughout Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and the greater West Michigan region.
At Lava GR, that experience is passed directly to the team. At the Mobile Tech Expo (MTE) 2026 Paint Correction Competition, Joseph achieved the 3rd highest RIQ (Reflective Image Quality) score in the United States, placing his work among the top paint correction results recorded at the event. RIQ measures reflection clarity and defect removal, making it one of the most respected benchmarks for professional paint correction.
Joseph is also the author of The Biohazard Detailing Playbook, a professional guide on advanced interior restoration and contamination cleanup. Additional detailing and business training books are currently in development.
